When the Jayalalithaa government wants Poes Garden to announce “flying zones”

In the summer of 1993, the Tamil Nadu government raised a strange demand to announce the luxury southern Chennai community in which Chief Minister Jayalalithaa lived, as a “flying zone”. The state also seeks assistance from the center to provide her with air safety covers, including providing air defense equipment and manpower.
The government claims that at around 3 a.m. on May 4, the Sentinel’s duty was seen by a low-noise glider-style aircraft without lights, two to three types were performed on her “Veda Nilayam” bungalow. Police were earlier told Tamil Eelam’s security threat to the chief minister could be attacked by microstone aircraft, according to the government. Sri Lankan Tamil militants were banned in India in 1991 after the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Escape in Mamandur
By the way, three LTTE prisoners escaped last month in Mamandur near Chengshan Rapatu while being escorted from Madras Central Prison (since being demolished) to Pattukkottai. One of them is Kirupan, the main charges charged in June 1990 in EPRLF leader Padmanabha and 13 people in Chennai. At the time, Jayalalithaa was sensationalizing that the central government agency (Research and Analysis Bureau) – Research and Analysis Bureau (Research and Analysis Bureau) was helping and recruiting LTTE in LTTE to eliminate her LTTE. She claimed there was enough evidence to support her allegations.
After suspected of seeing a glider-style plane, the chief secretary hurriedly summoned Tambaram, the commander of the Indian Air Force Station, to discuss with the Chief Police Department and senior police officers how to strengthen the security of Jayalalalithaa. Police also began checking with civil aviation authorities about what might be flying objects.
Report to the government’s claims, Hindu wrote: “Enquiries show that between 2 am and 4 am on Monday, there was no aircraft movement. At 4.15 am, a Russian cargo aircraft was cleared for flight and as it took off from the Pallavaram end for Bangalore, that aircraft could not have flown over the Poes Garden area. According to Madras airport sources, the Flying Club was closed on Sunday and glider or training aircraft are not allowed to fly after 8 pm” Sources in the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) also said that no aircraft or traditional flying object on Madras could escape their notification.
This issue echoes in Rajya Sabha, BJP member JP Mathur seeks the assurance of the coalition government that Jayalalithaa will provide foolproof security. He argued that threat perceptions cannot be easily taken and he urged the Centre to consider bringing her under the cover of the Special Protection Group (SPG).
Despite tensions between Jayalalithaa’s AIADMK and Congress, Congressman V. Narayanasamy said the threat to the chief minister was real, and the LTTE was equipped with exquisite machinery. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the Center to acknowledge her request for additional safety. Another MP, SS AHLUWALIA, believes that it is the government’s moral responsibility to provide foolproof security to Jayalalithaa.
“Murasoli” Maran’s plea
Senior DMK MP “Murasoli” Maran said if the report on the “mysterious plane” was true, it was a serious matter. “But he wondered if this wasn’t a political technology and quoted the Civil Aviation Director that day from 2 to 4 a.m. that day. 2 to 4 a.m. that day. No planes flew past Madras. Mr. Maran hopes that the Union’s Home Minister will make a statement on the issue, and the government guides the defense agency to investigate.” Hindu.
According to the PTI report published in this newspaper, members have some disagreements over the ability of LTTE to launch air bomb attacks in Rajya Sabha. “Mr. Maran said the complex IAF radar violated reports of any flight activity in Ms. Jayalalitha’s residence. However, other members said small aircraft that could be installed on temporary aircraft, on temporary aircraft, on Treetop, could not detect any overhead flights of radar,” it said.
NSG sent emergency
Strangely, a few days later, the Tamil Nadu government sent a small number of National Security Guards (NSGs) that were provided for personal security guards in Jayalalithaa, who was placed in a Class Z security program after serving as Chief Minister on 24 June 1991. Hindu “Since the breakup of the AIADMK-CONGRESS alliance, the growing hostility and decision between the Tamil Nadu government and the Centre delivered the Black Cat to Delhi, given the earlier contradictions and expectations of the Centre and Tamil Nadu VIS-hivis vis nsg NSG nsg nsg nsg nsg oinsos.”
The reference to “contradiction and universality” was an incident in July 1991, when the League Home Secretary informed the Chief Secretary that the NSG commando provided to Jayalalithaa would be withdrawn on July 15. To this end, Jayalalithaa responded to this, who only wanted the commander of the NSG to cover up the Tamil Nadu police’s class for Tamil Nadu police to list a full-time class to train a judicial department.
