Washington: The White House announced Friday an improved Covid-19 website that advocated the theory that the virus leaked from a Chinese lab, framing it as the “real origin” of the pandemic.
The Covid.gov website, which previously aims to promote vaccines and test information, now includes the full-length image of President Donald Trump and criticizes the pandemic policies implemented by former President Joe Biden.
The website also targets Anthony Fauci, former chief medical consultant for Biden, to advance what is called “the preferred narrative of the natural origin of covid-19.”
It proposes five bullet points designed to strengthen laboratory leak theory, noting that the first known coronavirus case is also home to China’s “most important SARS Research Lab” and a history of research at the “Inipherequate Biosafety level.”
“With almost every scientific measure, if there is evidence of natural origin, it has surfaced. But that’s not the case,” the website said.
Laboratory cave theory, once considered a conspiracy theory, has recently gained mainstream traction in the United States.
Even if the debate is still scientifically and politically unresolved, US agencies such as the FBI and the Department of Energy support the theory, although the levels of confidence are different.
Earlier this year, the CIA changed its official position on the origin of the virus, saying it “leaks from Chinese labs” rather than spreading animals.
The assessment has drawn criticism from China, who said it is “extremely impossible” that Covid-19 comes from a laboratory.
Beijing also urged the United States to “stop politicizing and instrumentalizing source tracking issues.”
The United States and China are now in a major trade war, with Washington on Thursday announcing new port fees for ships linked to China and increasing tariffs on Chinese goods.
The remodeled White House ruins apparently attempted to redefine the political narrative about Covid-19, and also criticized the mask and social distancing mission introduced at the beginning of the 2020 pandemic. The map of Wuhan is also very animated.
It also accuses former government public health officials of demonizing “alternative treatments” and colluding with social media companies to review perceptions of the pandemic – an allegation often echoed by U.S. conservatives.
The Biden administration has previously refused to suppress or censor the allegations of conservative views.
The website remodel comes after the start of a shocking and scientifically controversial restructuring that would cut 10,000 jobs after the start of layoffs at major U.S. health agencies earlier this month.
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr was shocked by health experts with his words, downplaying the importance of vaccines. He said the layoffs were part of a major reform in his department, aiming to refocus on preventing chronic diseases.
In the United States, more than one million people die from 19 years of age and related diseases, and millions of people die worldwide.
