Who is Hrishikesh Hemant Kanitkar? India is head coach of the upcoming England Tour

NCA chief VVS Laxman usually coaches for India A, or when the main coach is unavailable, but this time Kanitkar is appointed as a coaching position.
The BCCI has officially announced the coaching staff, which will be held on the England tour by the Indian Team A. Former Indian cricketer Hrishikesh Kanitkar has been appointed as head coach. Subhadeep Ghosh from Assam will join him as field coach and Troy Cooley, who will play the role of bowling coach.
Traditionally, VVS Laxman, the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), has served as coaching duties for the Indian A team or intervened when the head coach of the main team is unavailable. However, this time, BCCI has entrusted Kanitkar to the head coaching position, marking an important step forward in his coaching career.
Who is Hrishikesh Hemant Kanitkar?
Hrishikesh Hemant Kanitkar is an outstanding left-handed batsman with right arm off the bowler hat, a former Indian cricketer with a brief and influential career in the test, one day in the International (ODI) format. After retiring in 2015, he saw himself as one of three batsmen who had run just over 8,000 times in the famous Ranji trophy. It is worth noting that he remains the only captain in Championship history to win the Elite League and Cricket League titles.
An Indian team, composed of 18 members, is scheduled to set out in stages on May 25 and 26. Their first four-day match against the England Lions is scheduled to begin in Canterbury on May 30.
Following this encounter, the team will play its second four-day race in Northampton starting on June 6. The Indian A will then practice the match against the Indian senior team at Beckenham from June 13 to 16, which will be used as a closed internal internal match.
