Spencer, 37, is accused of targeting two alleged attacks in August 2023. According to Metropolitan Police, the allegations are related to two independent women.
Now, members of Congress in Central Suffolk and North Ipswich will appear in Westminster District Court on Monday, June 16.
But who is Patrick Spencer?
Mr Spencer, a Conservative MP in Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, was first elected in the latest election in July 2024, winning a 9.2% majority.
He had previously run for West Ham’s MP in the 2017 general election but lost to Labor.
Mr Spencer talked about his voters in his first speech in Parliament on July 25: “Suffolk agricultural and agricultural communities are an important part of our local society, they also symbolize our local culture and identity, and are full of attitude towards our family and community, and are full of attitude towards our weather, but I am full of attitude towards myself, but my natural environment is my whole body, it is my whole body, and it is all about my whole body. Mr Spencer also talked about working to empower his voters, “At a time when faith in politics and trust in politics are at the lowest level of all time for people who have fallen into economic and social slump”, he will ensure that “the UK works for everyone.”
In December 2024, Mr Spencer advocated a more difficult verdict, which was to go hand in hand with the government’s call for a higher prison. “I welcome the steps this administration is taking to improve prison capacity, but what will the Secretary of State do with a tougher sentencing?” he said.
“I asked, because if [Shabana Mahmood] Going to my constituency in Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, she would come across a tough, stout East Anglia accent that reads: “What is the place where you can build a prison if you don’t want to use them? ””’
He has also been appointed PPS (Private Secretary of Parliament) for Shadow Education spokesman Laura Trott, who has been a Conservative MP for Sevenoaks since 2019. Prior to his appointment, Mr Spencer worked at the Social Justice Centre under Sir Iain Duncan Smith and then served as a consultant in the Ministry of Education.
Mr Spencer is a member of the Education Choice Committee and is an APPG official and experienced person.
What has Patrick Spencer been accused of?
Mr Spencer committed two counts of sexual assault in Groucho Club, London in August 2023.
Metropolitan police said a man participated in a voluntary interview on March 13, 2025. The Crown Prosecutor has since authorized the charges against the Metropolitan Police for Mr Spencer after the detectives conducted an investigation.
A Conservative spokesman said: “The Conservatives believe in integrity and high standards. We have taken action immediately
“Mr. Patrick Spencer has suspended from the Conservative Party and withdraws the whip and takes effect immediately.
“The Conservatives are unable to comment further on ongoing legal cases”
It is understood that Mr Spencer was told not to visit the Parliamentary Manor during the investigation.
Who is Patrick Spencer’s family?
Outside his political career, Mr. Spencer and his wife have two sons, Leo and Jasper. The family lives in Suffolk.
He is the son of Michael Spencer, Baron Spencer of Alresford. Mr Spencer’s grandfather grew up in East London and moved to Essex to raise his family. His grandparents ended up staying outside the constituency of Ipswich for only 20 minutes.
Mr Spencer received his education at the University of Leeds, where he joined the Conservative Party for the first time. He also reads MA Public Policy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
