Colonel Sofiya Quershi is an official of the Indian Army Signal Army. She engraved her name in military history with many groundbreaking achievements. She is only 35 years old and carries a legacy that continues to inspire many people and takes role models as an example.
In March 2016, Colonel Qureshi made history when he became the first female officer to lead the Indian Army contingent in a transnational military exercise. The activity is Sports Force 18 and remains the largest foreign military exercise ever in India. She continued to join the National Craftsman Army (NCC) and earned her engineering degree, continuing to pursue her goals.
Vyomika became the first person in her family to become part of the armed forces. She was appointed as a helicopter pilot for the Indian Air Force. On December 18, 2019, she received a permanent committee at the Flight Branch.
She operates different helicopters such as Cheetah and Chetak in the difficult terrain of J&K in the northeast. Vyomika has reportedly recorded over 2500 flight times and participated in different missions, which were conducted in Arunachal Pradesh in November 2020.
