Indian student killed by Stree bullet in Canada

An Indian student was killed in Ontario, Canada in the shooting involving two cars.

Hamilton police said Harsimrat Randhawa, a student at Hamilton Mohawk College, was an innocent bystander waiting at the bus stop on his way to work. Police further noted that they are investigating the homicide that took place on Wednesday.

According to police, they received reports of shootings near Hamilton’s Up James Street and South Bend Road around 7:30 p.m. local time. Upon arrival, officers found Randhawa’s gunshot wound to the chest. She was taken to the hospital but surrendered.

Investigators determined that passengers of a black car were fired at the occupants of the white sedan. Both vehicles fled the scene shortly after the shooting.

In an article on X, the Indian Embassy said: “We are very saddened by the tragic death of Harsimrat Randhawa, an Indian student in Hamilton, Ontario.”

“According to the local police, she was an innocent victim, hit by a homeless bullet in a shooting involving two vehicles. A homicide investigation is currently underway. We are maintaining close contact with her family and are expanding all necessary help. During this difficult time, we pray and pray with the lost family.”
