Why is Dewald Brevis not available to Drs to review LBW decisions in RCB vs CSK matches?

IPL 2025, RCB vs CSK: Facing Lungi Ngidi, Brevis was stretched out his leg on the first ball in his first inning.

In the IPL 2025 match between RCB and CSK, Dewald Brevis found himself on the wrong side of the referee's Drs call. He faces Lungi Ngidi, starting with the first ball, the referee excludes him before the wicket. Despite being distributed, Brevis managed to complete his run and immediately requested a review. However, when the CSK team wanted to challenge the decision, the field referee rejected them.

Ravindra Jadeja even said a news in the referee, but after their discussion, it was decided to send the CSK player back to the hall. Commentators debated the phone, and the replay made it clear that the delivery was missing a stump. If CSK chooses to review, the decision may be in their favor.

Unfortunately for the Chennai Super King, Brevis missed the chance to challenge the call because he didn't have time. Usually, after a decision is made in the field, the batting or field team has a 15-second window to request review. During this period, the field captain or the batsman's captain must mark their intention to challenge the decision, after which the referee can cite it to the television referee for further review.

In this case, Brevis was too focused on running, and by the time he decided to ask for a review, those 15 seconds had passed. This means the referee has no choice but to deny his extra time. As a result, CSK lost the opportunity to take the Drs call, which delighted the family crowd at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
