22 Nasars surrendered before the security forces of Sukma in Chhattisgarh

Sukma: There are at least 22 naxalites, 12 of which have accumulated bounty of Rs 40.05 lakh, surrendered in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Friday. Cadres, including nine women, were disappointed with the atrocities of the local tribes before the police and senior officials of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

They were also impressed by the state government’s “Niyad Nellanar” (your Good Village) program, which aims to promote development projects in remote villages and new surrender and rehabilitation policies, the official said.

Chafan said that the surrendered cadres included Muchaki Joga (33), deputy commander of PLGA (People’s Liberation Guerrillas). The Maoist Madshi and his wife Muchaki Jogi (28) are members of the same team, each of whom received a reward of Rs 8 lakh.

He said that included Kikid Deve (30) and Manoj alias Dudhi Budhra (28), two regional committee members of his Maoists held a reward of Rs 50,000.


The official said the seven surrendered cadres had a bounty of Rs 2 lakh, while the other Nasalit was awarded a reward of Rs 50,000. He said another surrendered cadre also participated in multiple attacks on security forces. He said the regional police, regional reserve guards (DRG), the CRPF and their elite troops played a crucial role in surrender.

Last year, 792 Nassars surrendered in the Bastari region, including seven regions, including Sukma.
