Ganta fears negativity around Vizag Movie Club

Visakhapatnam: Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao expressed concern on Saturday about the negative narrative of the Visakhapatnam Movie Club.

Ganta, along with Visakhapatnam North Mla P. Vishnu Kumar Raju, visited the Nagar Cultural Center in Thimmapuram, Vizag, to speak in the media, and Ganta explained that the film club was founded in Vizag in 2015 to attract the film industry.

However, with the changes in the government in 2019, the initial intentions of the film club were compromised and politically affected. He lamented that the club’s establishment with noble intentions had deviated from its original purpose.

Srinivas Rao believes that the Visakhapatnam movie club needs a thorough reform, which currently has 1,500 members.

Vizag North MLA said during this period that he must be responsible for the actions of the club members. Vishnu Kumar Raju said he has submitted nominations for the presidency in the upcoming club elections. He said they brought the club’s various issues to the attention of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He asserted that it was in the interest of the club, not the personal interests of the people they participated in.

Both Srinivas and Vishnu Kumar illuminate the importance of land allocation to the film club and the construction of various facilities. They asserted that the Vizag Film Club would be developed into a major modeling institution. Both MLAs show that the NDA coalition government is considering turning Vizag into a movie center.
