Will Delhi shop owners be forced to display their nameplate during Navaratra?

BJP MLA Tarvinder Singh Marwah wrote to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, urging the ongoing celebrations of Navratri and Eid to ask shop owners across the city to display their names in front of their institutions.

The proposal aims to promote transparency and ensure recognition and accountability in the bustling smartet market during these important religious celebrations.

Marwah highlighted the importance of clear identity verification in maintaining public safety and fostering a more organized shopping environment.

“When we approach Navratra and Eid, it is important to ensure that the celebration is carried out in a mutual respect and harmonious manner. I ask your respected office to issue guidance to shop owners in Delhi to display the nameplate in front of their venues. When these festivals see a large influx of customers, MLA believes that displaying names will also help improve communication and customer service.
