Will the banks open or close on April 5, 2025? Here’s what you need to know

It is recommended that customers solve bank-related work in advance. However, net banking and digital services will continue.

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, the bank will be open on Saturday, April 5, 2024. Banks usually operate on the first and third Saturdays of each month, while closed on the second Saturday.

As April 5 is the first Saturday, banks will be open. However, according to the RBI calendar, Telangana’s bank will be closed for Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birthday due to Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birthday.

Banks will be closed nationwide on April 6 as it is Sunday, the day when banks are generally closed.

In addition to Hyderabad-Telangana, customers can visit bank branches today. However, regardless of bank holidays, basic banking services will still be available through ATMs, mobile banking apps and online banking platforms.

Bank holidays in April 2025

Banks will be closed for 15 days in April 2025 due to public holidays, including the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays. Customers are encouraged to understand these holidays to prevent disruptions in banking services.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) classifies bank holidays into three categories: Real-time sum settlement (RTGS) holidays and bank account deadlines under the Negotiable Instruments Act. Customers can find information about bank holidays through the RBI’s official website and notify the bank.

Online banking sequence

During the banking holidays, online banking services will be accessible nationwide to ensure continuous access to banking services. Customers can use these services to conduct convenient financial transactions.

Customers can also use the NEFT/RTG transfer form, request draft request form and checkbook form for transfer of funds. Card service provides credit, debit and ATM cards. Services such as account maintenance tables, general instructions settings, and changing applications are also provided.
