Woman killed in a terror in the Northern Territory crash – three others were taken to hospital and suffered “trauma” injuries

A woman was killed in a frontal collision and found two other passengers temporarily trapped in the vehicle.
At 5.10 a.m. Wednesday, a Nissan X-Trail SUV with three people crashed into a Toyota Corolla on Kirkland Road, 22km southeast of Darwin, about 5.10 a.m.
A woman traveling on X-Trail died at the scene, while one of her passengers was temporarily trapped in the vehicle.
The Corolla driver was also released by emergency services.
Two surviving passengers from X-Trail and the driver of Corolla were taken to the hospital for “trauma” injuries.
Both lanes on Kirkland Road are closed between Elrundie Avenue and Wishart Road until mid-Wednesday, when drivers urged drivers to take other routes.
New Testament police say an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.

Detective Sergeant Richard Musgrave urged the driver to remember the “fatal five”.
“Don’t drink and drive, don’t get tired or distracted from driving, don’t speed up the seat belt,” he said.
