Woman reveals how she “slammed” into the ground next to the canal in East London when she was arrested by police

A woman revealed she was whipped and a man reportedly “slammed” her hand on a canal trail in east London.
Ayla Mellek claims that when a man knocked her down with such force, she walked along the mile-end canal with a friend, despite his “having “free access on the road.”
Metropolitan police said a 38-year-old man from White Jopele was arrested on suspicion of assault on Ms. Melek.
The 20-year-old marketer told BBC She almost fell into the water, but was glad to miss out on dangerous items such as glass and metal when it fell.
Ms. Melluk went to Tiktok to share her story after the May 4 attack, saying she received comments from hundreds of people, many of whom were other women.
In the video, Ms. Melek can be heard saying, “If you are in London, you need to be very careful because I just got beaten up in the spacious sunlight today.”

A man commented to Ms. Melluck’s Tiktok, “This happened in London on Sunday. The loser changed his jogging route and walked towards me. I moved to me. But he turned to his body.
Another said, “It happened under my ground. A man ran towards me, turned around and let him go, and he hit me. All strength. All strength. Damage to my shoulders. No apology.”
Another added: “I had a similar experience, not so violent, but a man who walked into my men very deliberately on the street. It was a motivation.”
Ms Melek said she was worried that the incidents could escalate.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department said the arrested man was also investigating an incident in which a 60-year-old man allegedly walked along Commercial Road, Bethnal Green, and crashed into a nearby vehicle on April 2.
Agent Brittany Clarke said: “We are very aware of the concerns caused by the local community.
“Although we have one person in custody, local officials will continue patrolling the canal and surrounding areas.”
