Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, residents of Palibandha Village in Ganjam district of Odisha were shocked, and a woman and her two children reportedly died of suicide on Monday night, allegedly following an ongoing family dispute in the family.
The deceased was identified as a 45-year-old woman, her 23-year-old son and 20-year-old daughter. Police sources said the three men consumed poison in their residences during ongoing family clashes. They were immediately taken to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.
According to a preliminary investigation by local police, internal family disharmony may have driven the three to take extreme measures. “We suspect family hatred has led to this incident, but a detailed investigation is underway to determine the exact cause,” said a senior investigator.
