Women gained power for traveling on RTC buses for free

Adilabad: TSRTC MD MD VC Sajjanar said on Monday that the financial situation of RTC has improved with the state government’s Mahalakshmi plan and it turns out that the plan is a boon for RTC. He said they will receive support from the state government and work to address all pending requirements for future workers and employees.
He observed that women gained the ability to travel for free in RTC buses and each woman saved between Rs 8,000 and Rs 10,000 per month, the program has become increasingly popular compared to other transport facilities in other states.
Speaking with media staff after checking Adilabad Bus Depot, VC Sajjanar said that RTC’s management has paid workers PRC, DA pays workers, and that the benefits of RTC workers still need to be done more. He said they have set up a corporate hospital to provide workers with the best medical treatment.
Sajjanar said they replaced 50% of the buses and launched 3,250 new buses in recent years, adding that RTC is carrying “financial luggage” which needs relief. He said they were unable to operate electric buses everywhere due to the lack of charging facilities in the range and now there is a charging facility in Nizamabad.
