A shocking case comes from the UK, where a woman spent a full ten years of lower back pain. Recently, doctors discovered that tumors on the spine were growing, and her actual condition was recently discovered.
Julie Coleman, 33, from Glasgow, Scotland, had tingling pain in her back and legs when she was pregnant in 2014. But the doctor went on to tell her it was just sciatica – a common condition in which nerves from the lower back to the feet were compressed.

Countless visits to doctors
The doctor told Coleman that the pain after childbirth would go away, but it persisted, and even her daily tasks were difficult to make it impossible for her to perform. She had conducted Countess visits to different doctors over the years, complaining about pain in the leg shooting, just prescription pain medications and physical therapy.
“I was told that it was sciatica and sent me any scans meaningfully because the back surgery was too dangerous,” Coleman said. “I was going to go to a few different GPs (GPs) in the same practice and they were all saying the same thing. I just thought it was my whole life.”

‘It’s all wrong’
Coleman was finally on an MRI scan, which presented the correct diagnosis. A scan conducted last December showed that there was already a large tumor in her spinal cord. “I’m really shocked because I’ve been trying to say there are problems throughout the process,” Coleman said.

Coleman plans a wedding now
Earlier this year, Coleman underwent surgery and successfully removed the tumor. But doctors warn that some nerve damage may be irreversible due to Coleman’s paralysis from his right knee.
Coleman and fiancé Stephen were not stopped by her condition and were preparing to attend the wedding in July this year. She said her son would take her into the aisle.
