Karukachar police in Kotayam District, Kerala investigated a crash that killed a 35-year-old woman, which has been confirmed to be a pre-murder murder case. The two were arrested for the crime.
The defendants, Anshad Kabir, 37, and Ujaz Abdul Salam, 35, are both natives of Kanjirappally.
The case is related to the death of Neethu Krishnan, a Kuthrappally resident near Karukachal. Neethu works at a private company in Changanassery when she hits her workplace from the back. Local residents quickly took her to the hospital but were pronounced dead.
Neethu married a man from Kanjirappally who had lived apart for some time in Karukachal.
Verification of CCTV videos shows that the collision was intentional and the driver intentionally caused an accident. Further investigations revealed that driver Anshad had a relationship with the victim.
Ujaz is in the car with Anshad and the police confirm his knowledge of the murder.
Further detection
Authorities are continuing their investigation to reveal the motives behind the murder. Official sources said Anshad killed Neethu after deciding not to get married after a divorce.
Police also discovered a financial dispute between the two.
