Tech Glitch luggage check-in at Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport

The Delhi Airport operator dialed on Tuesday that at some point in Terminal 1, there was a technical problem with the luggage check-in and that the flight operation had no impact due to a glitch. On Tuesday, all operations at Terminal 2 were transferred to T1 as T2 was closed for maintenance. “We had a technical issue with luggage check-in at T1, which made the luggage check-in for a while. As a result, our flight operations had no impact. Our team with stakeholders had already been engaged in it and operations were normalized.
“The short-term inconvenience caused by short-term inconvenience,” Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said in a post 1422 HRS on X. “Dial said there was a technical problem with T1 check-in at 1250 hours. In a post on the 1151-hour X, Indigo informed passengers that due to a temporary luggage belt failure in Terminal 1, passengers may have a slightly longer wait time during check-in and when they collect their luggage upon arrival.
T1 and T3 are now operating in Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), operated by DIAL. The airport has four runways, one of which is closed for maintenance. Only Indigo and Akasa Air fly from the T2. The expanded T1 can accommodate 40 million passengers, and the T3 can handle 45 million passengers per year. DIAL said last month that T2 can handle 15 million passengers in the year. IGIA handles about 1,300 flights a day.
