Ramanagara: Police said Saturday that the late gangster son Don NN Muthappa Rai was allegedly shot dead by an unidentified assailant near his residence in Bidadi.
They said Ricky Ray is currently receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital in Bangalore.
The incident happened between 1:00 a.m. and 1.30 (Friday evening) near his residence.
According to police, some unidentified people allegedly opened fire and bullets attacked the vehicle. He sat in the back with the gunman when the bullet passed through the driver’s seat and both the driver and the RAI were injured.
He added that a case has been registered and efforts are being made to resolve the suspect.
