CM Revanth brings congressional leaders to attention due to IndiScipline

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has reportedly issued a harsh warning to political party MLAS and leaders to indicate public statements or media statements about cabinet expansion. He said the party high command retained the final agency on the matter and that any speculation or comment made at the state level would not have a purpose.

He was at the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting on Tuesday, public objections would convey false messages to the people and create an impression of conflict within the party.

Revanth Reddy’s comments came after the recent public outbreak of Mlas Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy, Prem Sagar Rao and Gaddam Vivek, who expressed displeasure at the delay in cabinet expansion.

Revanth Reddy made it clear that Indiscipline would not be tolerated in the party ranks. “If any MLA crosses the party, they will have to face the consequences, no matter how advanced or influential they are,” he said.

The Chief Minister stressed: “The High Congress Command will determine the timing of cabinet expansion and the leaders that will be attracted. It is meaningless to debate or fight these issues in public.”

Revanth Reddy reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy and criticized him for often telling the media about the prospects of the cabinet. “Every day, I see your comments about cabinet expansion in the media every day. Every day you come up with a different name. This has to stop,” the chief minister said told Bhongir MP.

Revanth Reddy said the lack of participation of Congress MLA on social media platforms is affecting the party’s online narrative. While the opposition is actively using social media to attack Congress and the government, Congress legislators remain silent and inactive online.

“Most of us are not using social media. This digital silence is hurting the party’s narrative,” he said.
