The excise tax official was attacked by a young man on Monday night (April 28).
At least three officials were reportedly injured. The defendant was identified as 27-year-old Abu Tahir, Kottayam Kanjirappally. Officials allegedly seized 500 mg of MDMA and 50 grams of Ganja from him.
Tahir reportedly intercepted him after tipping, and Tahir turned violent. Officials had to call for backup to overwhelm him and take him into custody.
