3-day training for regional EDU officials

Hyderabad: The three-day District Education Officer (DEOS) will end a three-day training program on Sunday with a focus on improving school leadership and helping students perform better in academia. School Education Minister Dr. Yogita Rana asked Deos to ensure that students understand what they are learning and that teachers receive proper training. Dios must go to school, check how to teach the courses and instruct teachers to improve classroom teaching, she said.

School Education Director Ev Narasimha Reddy said that teachers have the greatest impact on students and must be supported to do their jobs well. He asked education officials to help students improve their talents and skills.

Social activist Sunitha Krishnan warned that children face increased risks online. Many students are not even aware of cybercrime and online traps, she said. She stressed the need to include awareness of cybersecurity, POCSO ACT and IT laws in teacher training to protect children.

The training is being attended by regional joint directors, the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE), the Center for Vocational and Technical Education (CTE) and the Regional Institute of Education and Training (DIET) and senior officials.
