Vijayawada: Education Minister Nara Lokesh announced in the state assembly on Wednesday that the state government will encourage the establishment of private universities in Andhra Pradesh.

When it hopes to be recognized as a private university in the brownfield category, VVIT made similar requests and sought recognition under central and state regulations. They own 50 acres of land and 4,75,278 feet of building area, and are also a center of excellence and an incubator,” Lokesh told the house. ”
He said that there are also 11 undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as 700 employees, with a student strength of 9,200. This society is ready to invest heavily. VVIT hopes to convert VVIT into VVITU in accordance with the provisions of legislation 2106.
The Education Minister explained that under the 2016 bill, Greenfield means a new university, and Brownfield means a conversion. “VVIT hopes to convert to Brownfield University.”
“Whenever a university goes to a university, it is necessary to amend the bill in the legislature and include the name,” he explained.
