258 kg prohibited Gutkha occupation, four people held

Police seized a 258 kilogram of Gutka from two cars after a chase at the junction of four roads near Panruti.

After prompting, a team conducted vehicle inspections at the four road junctions while trying to stop two cars on Sunday night, but they drove them away. After a brief chase, the police managed to intercept vehicles at some distances on the roadside.

Police inspected the vehicle and grabbed a 258 kg Gutka, which was loaded in a gunny bag. The team arrested Ramesh, 46, 24, and Shankar Lal of Rajasthan, 26, of Nellikuppam. The case has been registered and further investigation has been conducted.
