Congress keeps all options in MLC poll

Hyderabad:Congress has decided to adopt watch-up measures ahead of the MLC elections in Hyderabad local authorities’ constituency on April 23. The party did not hire a candidate, so it decided to assess the situation on the voting day and then decide whether to vote or abstain.
Congress leaders directed their companies and former members to stay standby and go public on voting day.
Congress avoids hiring candidates due to insufficient numbers. Only GHMC’s companies are eligible to vote with departments belonging to Hyderabad and Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituencies and former members composed of MLA, MLC and MPS of the region and former members from the region.
Of the 112 qualified voters, Aimim directed a strong influence in the 50. BRS and BJP each hold 24, while Congress has 14. BRS officially announced its decision to abstain, and Aimim’s victory seemed to be the conclusion of being in the fore.
Congress leaders believe that even if the BRS and BJP team up, their 48-year-old shared strength will fall among Aimim’s 50. In addition, the party has described the BJP political ammunition through the Tasset alliance with Aimim to name the Congress as “anti-Hinduism”.
The situation is still smooth. If BRS members ignore their parties and show up for supporting the BJP, then Congress may be forced to take action. “In this case, we will ensure that our members are involved to prevent the BJP from winning,” a party source said.
Senior Congress leader Mohd Ali Shabbir said in a speech to Deccan Chronicle that both the party’s top commanders and the state leadership will make final appeals based on the April 23 development.
TPCC senior vice president MG Vinod Reddy told the newspaper that Congress is evaluating all possibilities. “Our goal is not to ensure anyone’s victory. It is to ensure the BJP’s failure,” he said.
If all voters participate and vote validly is 57, the magic number to win this election is 57.
BJP MP Etala Rajender said Congress and the decision to quit the polls were undemocratic actions.
Rajendar said in a press conference on Monday that the match will be held between the BJP, which believes in nationalist ideas and a family that promotes fundamentalist forces.
Rajendar asked: “How does the BRS and Congress deprive people of the right to vote in Hyderabad MLC polls to seek the vote of the people in future elections.”
The vote will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 23. Two polling stations have been established in the GHMC headquarters building on Tank Bund Road. The vote count will be conducted on April 25, and the results will be announced on the same day.
