French Interior Minister visits India to promote security and counter-terrorism partnership

French Minister François-Noël Buffet d’étatthe Home Minister will visit India on Wednesday to open with India’s Home Secretary Nityanand Rai. The Indian legal person security partnership and counter-terrorism cooperation will be enhanced through this visit.

Minister Buffet will meet with exhibitors, especially those from France. He will reiterate his support for the development of the Department of Homeland Security exchanges, which has great potential. France’s expertise in homeland security was particularly demonstrated during the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic organisation of Paris.

The minister will then visit NSG headquarters to watch operational demonstrations by force members and the National Bomb Data Center (NBDC).


Founded in Paris in 1984, Milipol is now the only network of trade fairs dedicated to the Department of Homeland Security. It is organized by the International Cooperation Operator of the Ministry of the Interior, the French Bathroom Organization, and gradually expanded from the world’s third largest professional event organizer Comexposium to the Near and Middle East (Doha, 1996) (Doha, 1996), Southeast Asia (Singapore in 2015) (Singapore in 2015) and India on February 23, 2023. New Delhi is the second edition of this trade show in India. The number of exhibitors has been co-chaired by ministers from the French and Indian interior ministries this year, up nearly 20%.
