It has been reported that shortly after tourists from Karnataka were killed in the terrorist attack, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah convened an emergency meeting with top officials to assess the situation.
Labor Minister Santosh Lad will leave Kashmir on Wednesday (April 23) to help surviving families, while a team of officials led by IPS official Chetan R. is dispatched. Police officers also accompanied the team to provide logistical support. The CMO added that the Karnataka Resident Commissioner in Delhi has been directed to coordinate the next step.
Meanwhile, in Kashmir, MP Tejaswi Surya, South of Bangalore, said on X: “I’ve talked to IG, DIG DIG South Kashmir, DC Anantnag, I’ve been in touch with LG’s office to provide all the support.
