Passengers slide between tracks and platforms while calming the train at Secunderabad Station, dead

A 40-year-old man from Jharkhand died after an accidental fall while trying to board a moving train at Secunderabad train station on Friday (2 May 2025).

The deceased was identified as a resident of Sonpurwa, Galva region, Pavan Kumar, who tried to board the Danapur Express from Platform 8 when he lost his balance and fell into the gap between the track and the platform. Police said he fell off the train when he boarded the plane from the end of Hyderabad on the platform, next to the footbridge.

Officials from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) reminded during the call that Sesendrabad (RPF) arrived at the scene and pulled him out. He was immediately transferred to Gandhi Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared the victim dead.

The body was sent for examination after death. Authorities said that after completing medical legal procedures, the body will be handed over to the family of the deceased. A case was booked and an investigation is underway.
