“While the new trade deal with the United States constitutes a political victory for the government, the direct impact on Britain’s GDP may be small, as we export only $9 billion in cars to the United States every year, and the vast majority of goods will not benefit from this Pariff rescue announcement,” said Ben Caswell, senior economist at NEISR.
