Nellol: The security of Tirumala, the main religious sites across the country and the placement of the sacred Venkateswara temple, has been tightened a lot after tensions along the India-Pakistan border, and is no exception.
The Ministry of Defense has placed the main pilgrimage centers under special surveillance. Authorities conducted large-scale exercises and search operations in and around Tirumala to test the preparation and coordination between security forces.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams’ multi-layer security equipment is on alert to ensure that uncomfortable events do not occur in one of the most popular temples of India’s most interviewed.
TTD is alert, the police team, the Special Protection Force (SPF), the Elite Octopus Commando and the State Intelligence Detectives are combing through the entire Hill Town, including the Akhilandam, GNC Tollgate and GNC Tollgate and three high soccer areas in front of the main temple.
“These drills are crucial to ensure that our team is fully responding in any threat situation. All departments are working together to conduct detailed inspections across multiple points,” DSP Vijay Shekhar told the media.
