tirupati: Here on Saturday, four giant silver lamps were donated to Tirumala Tirumala Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the official press release said.
“Four giant silver lights were donated to TTD on Saturday night,” the press release said.
The release said donors displayed the lamp to Ramakrishna, temple official in Mahadwaram.
Earlier, TTD Chairman Br Naidu distributed 555 helmets to Temple Body employees during a safe commute between Tirumala and Tirumadi.
J Raghuram and Naveen of a Delhi helmet company donated a helmet worth Rs 5 lakh. Naidu promises to donate 500 helmets in 15 days.
“If these quality and usage are found satisfactory, another 5,000 helmets will be provided,” Naidu added.
The Tirupati Temple is the richest Hindu shrine in the world, attracting between 70,000 and 100,000 devotees a day, who provide an average of 3 crore rupees.
