Higher education institutions in India are not the only ones that respond. The wider public has also launched an informal boycott campaign against Türkiye and Azerbaijan, both accused of supporting Pakistan diplomatically and militarily.

Public anger has been further intensified as Turkey provides Pakistan with advanced military technology, including drones. On the evening of May 8, the Indian Defense Forces intercepted and neutralized 300 to 400 drones allegedly launched wide Indian territory from Pakistan – from Leh to Creek in the south.
Preliminary forensic investigations have confirmed that many of the drones are made in Türkiye and are reportedly models of Asisguard Songar combat drone.
