Alliance Jal Shakti will still be suspended by the Indian Waters Treaty.
In a monthly report to Cabinet Secretary Somanathan on Tuesday, Debashree Mukherjee, secretary of the ministry’s water resources, river development and Ganga’s rejuvenation, announced that the treaty would be held in “room” and would continue in the consequences of the “Pakistan terrorist attack” of the “Pakistan terrorist attack”.

“The critical moisture sharing treaty will be suspended until Pakistan reliably irrevocably supports its support for cross-border terrorism,” Mr Mukherjee said in the report.
The Indus Water Treaty (IWT) was facilitated by the World Bank in 1960, which ruled the Indus River and its distribution and use between India and Pakistan.
Sources said Pakistan’s water resources minister Syed Ali Murtaza said the government was ready to discuss specific objections raised by New Delhi.
However, the Indian government still firmly decided to shelve the agreement.

The river system includes the Indus – the main rivers and their tributaries. Ravi, Beas and Sutlej are collectively called Eastern Rivers, while Indus, Jhelum and Chenab are called Western Rivers.
The water of this river system is crucial for both India and Pakistan.
