Development economist and Nobel Prize winner Abhijit Banerjee appreciated the pioneering efforts of the Telangana government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, such as recruiting trans people to police and municipal departments, and envisioning the core urban area of ​​Hyderabad (ORR) within the External Loop (ORR) as a core urban area of ​​Hyderabad within purely service areas and creating the field of skills and sport. He also accepted the invitation from the Chief Minister to join the Telanganarising Vision Committee as an advisor.

On Saturday, Mr Banerjee met with the Chief Minister and considered several innovative ideas on urban development, economic growth, increased public income, fiscal discipline, large-scale skills and job creation.

While discussing job creation at scale, the Nobel Prize winner talks about the need to create unique short courses in modern design and appeal, marketing, and traditional skills that use social media technology to help traditional craftsmen become modern entrepreneurs. He also advised the Chief Minister that crafts, art and creativity should be an important part of the future city of Bharat.

The Chief Minister, who outlined the global vision of Hyderabad’s history and the global scope of products manufactured in the region, talked about the need for a global awareness. Mr. Reddy also elaborated on various empowerment programs for women’s self-help groups, youth and farmers.

IT and Industry Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, Finance Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Hyderabad Police Chief CV Anand and other officials participated in the discussion.
