Based on principle rather than seats with DMK Alliance: Thol. Thirumavalavan

Thol, President of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK). Thirumavalavan said on Saturday that the alliance between VCK and DMK was based on principles rather than bargaining to win more seats in the election. Mr. Thirumavalavan here said at the victory meeting of the Election Commission of India (ECI) that both sides are on the same page in the case of opposing caste system, imposing Hindi and protection of their native language.

Despite being aligned with DMK, VCK strongly requested a CBI investigation into the Vengaivayal issue because we were not satisfied with the CB-CID of the Tamil Nadu Police Department. In portraying the actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) President Vijay as the next chief minister, he said TVK has not even participated in local human elections in rural areas, but the party head is eager to rule the country. Television and its heads have no political experience to highlight people’s problems. He said: “He (Mr. Vijay) is a political teenager. He is a real hero, but VKC cadres are the wild heroes we work closely with people.” The VCK president said the 2026 parliamentary elections are not about bargaining for the total number of VCK seats in the DMK-led coalition. Instead, the parliamentary elections were intended to defeat the Hindu troops trying to gain a foothold in Tamil Nadu. He called his party cadres to cooperate with the cadres of the alliance partners to ensure the victory of the alliance. He advised VCK’s senior party leaders not to participate in political debates and interviews organized on social media platforms until the upcoming 2026 Congress elections, and he said a portion of the parties want to cause chaos in the DMK-led coalition. He said this trend would hurt the coalition’s prospects in parliamentary elections.
