A decent watch, but not the best one by Khalid Rahman

and Alappuzha Gymkhanadirector Khalid Rahman tried to use the genre again, but the film still has traces thalumaala – This is a soup for fighting and (male) friendship, Lukman Avaran’s dose is reliable. (Full disclosure: I’m a Lukeman certified fan, so his presence has certainly added points to me.)

The film begins with an introduction to five boys in the intermediate school. Their failure to pass the board exam will lead them to try one hand in a boxing match to ensure enough elegant markings for higher research.

The intensity and emotional treble of most sports drama staples are missing here, in line with Jojo’s (Naslen Gafoor) laid-back view. But that’s what I think is Khalid Rahman’s touch – adventures from the usual troubled path.

Alappuzha Gymkhana This is not a story of the underdog that brings you passionate orgasm. It’s fun, relaxing, and it depends on a short period of time to attract audiences.

Naslen is a good show of the flawed protagonist, perfect for the script, which allows his co-star to shine like him. Maybe it’s what makes the movie click.

That said, the first half was delayed in some places, and although the second half reached a pace, some of the turning points in the story were not as strong as it was. The cast, especially in comedy moments, is important, but the script doesn’t fully support the story’s development.

But the boxing sequence is a highlight. Anangha Ravi is happy to watch in the boxing team, and Ganapathi S. Poduval is happy too.

If one wants to see Khalid Rahman’s previous work – whether UNDAor thalumaalawhich seems to be the movie he plays safely, which does make it a little backward. Still, it’s a movie that’s entertaining enough – whether you’re a young Malayan audience, a non-Malayali after Mollywood, or just someone who’s looking for a breeze watch with your family.
