Alcohol scam: SIT police arrest Kasireddy Rajasekhar Reddy at RGIA airport in Hyderabad

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) reportedly investigated Kasireddy Rajashekar Reddy, the main suspect in the case, in Andhra Pradesh, who arrested Kasireddy Rajashekar Reddy on Monday at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad, Telebana on Monday.

Over the past few days, Sit has issued a notice to Kasireddy Rajasekhar Reddy. He sought expected bail with the High Court and was questioned by investigative officials. The court refused the expected bail and Casiddi returned to Hyderabad and the police at the scene detained him. Police will transfer him to Vijayawada.

Police have questioned former Rajya Sabha member and YSRCP leader V. Vijaya Sai Reddy and Rajampet MP PV Midhun Reddy in the so-called multi-billion dollar scam. Mr Vijaya Sai Reddy claims that Kasireddy Rajasekhar Reddy is the main defendant in the alcohol scam and he can reveal more facts about the scandal.

SIT police officers will produce Kasireddy in Vijayawada court on Tuesday, a senior police officer said on Monday.

Some YSRCP leaders allegedly floated the brewery, introduced new brands of liquor, conspired with some officers, and received Rs from 2019 to 2024 through cash transactions on liquor exports. Police have registered a case on the alcohol scam and were later transferred to the nearest sitting down.
