Visakhapatnam: Two technicians, Uma Mahesh (30) and his wife Shailaja (26), were employed in a company in Hyderabad, who were killed in the collapse of Simhachalam Wall in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. The couple has been working at the home of Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam, Chandrampalem in Madhurawada. They are many devotees who gather together to witness the rare darshan of the gods in real form.
The tragedy happened in the early hours of Wednesday when a newly built wall in the historic Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, took the lives of eight devotees and hurt several others.
Preliminary reports suggest that heavy rainfall weakens the structure, causing it to collapse. The devotees were standing on the special Rs 300 queue line as the wall gave way.
