AP Civil Service Receives the Public Administration Excellence Award PM
Andhra Pradesh V. Venkatesh Prasanna received the Civil Service after the New Delhi Award for Excellence.
V. Prasanna Venkatesh is a young civil servant from Andhra Pradesh who has received the Prime Minister’s Excellence Award for Public Administration.
During the 17th Civil Service Day in New Delhi on Monday, Venkatesh recognized his outstanding contribution to the overall development of the region. This is one of the highest honors for IAS officials across the country to provide exemplary services.
Mr. Venkatesh was chosen for this honor based on his outstanding efforts as the first collector in the Eluru area, where he served for more than two years. Under his leadership, the region has witnessed significant improvements in governance and public service delivery.
He played a key role in effectively implementing government programs at the grassroots level and worked extensively to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. His famous initiatives include combating anemia among women and girls, and the “Akshaja” program launched in tribal areas, focusing on maternal and postpartum health care within a broader framework of social responsibility.
Thanks to his influential governance and people-centered government, Eluru is one of the 10 regions in the country.
Mr Venkatesh currently serves as secretary of the Association of Social Welfare Residential Education Institutions of Andhra Pradesh.
