Pentagon to terminate $5.1 billion contract with Accenture, Deloitte

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has ordered the termination of the IT service contract, worth $5.1 billion, as companies such as Accenture and Deloitte showed Thursday.
The agreement “represents non-essential expenditures for third-party consultants who can serve Pentagon employees”, Hengers said in an April 10 memorandum released by the Pentagon.
“These terminations represent $5.1 billion in wasted spending … estimated savings are nearly $4 billion,” Hegseth added.
