However, Pakistani police claimed that five people were killed and ten others were injured in the attack. According to reports, the local police chief said the attack occurred in the Noshki district of Bal Luzhi province. He mentioned that the explosion severely damaged another nearby bus and the casualties were taken to a nearby hospital.
Earlier, the BLA ambushed the train and hijacked about 400 passengers. The Pakistani government said Balok militants killed 26 hostages, while security forces killed all 33 attackers in the rescue operation.
Balluchistan, rich in oil and mineral resources, is Pakistan’s largest and least populous province. Local residents of Bal Luzhi Province have long accused the federal government of discrimination, although these claims have been denied by the Pakistani government. The BLA requires independence from the federal government.
