Beauty and Buzz: More than 7,000 times passed for Miss World 2025

Telangana Tourism’s move to distribute free admission passes to the public, participating in the ongoing Miss World event in 2025, has triggered an overwhelming response, recording more than 7,000 registrations in just three days after the announcement.
The announcement of the free pass was made on May 6 by Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary for Youth Promotion, Tourism and Culture on May 6.
To take the pass into consideration, interested participants must conduct interactive quizzes based on Telangana’s culture and heritage. According to tourism officials, applicants are asked to answer five questions correctly, such as identifying national songs and selecting UNESCO heritage in Telangana.
Responses quickly and enthusiastically. However, as the number of applications increased, the department stopped the selection process. Now those who are trying to register are redirected to Google Forms, which displays a message to confirm the influx. “Our responses overwhelmed us. We received more than 7,000 requests. Applicants who qualify will be accommodated in the first few public events. We will open the registration window again in 10 days.” A notice released two days ago stated that registrations for next week may be open next week.
Ranjan made a speech at a press conference, highlighting the importance of public participation in global events. “The initiative provides citizens with a unique opportunity to participate in and experience a celebration of global beauty, talent and cultural diversity. We invite everyone to sign up and be part of this prestigious moment,” he said.
Miss World 2025 was held at various venues in Telangana, and finally the finale was held on May 31 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad.
