According to a state-owned Xinhua News Agency, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had a telephone conversation with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday, according to a state-owned Xinhua News Agency.
In the report, Wang also introduced the latest tensions between Pakistan and India to members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China’s Politburo (CPC) “following the terrorist attacks in Kashmir.”
“China has always supported Pakistan’s counter-terrorism operations. As a staunch friend and a strategic partner of all-weather, China fully understands Pakistan’s reasonable security issues and supports Pakistan in Chinese readers.
Wang said China is closely monitoring “the current situation is developing” and “supporting a fair investigation as soon as possible.”
He said that the conflict is not in the basic interests of India and Pakistan, nor is it conducive to regional peace and stability, and the two countries should “exercise constraints, meet each other and promote cooling of the situation.”
Chinese readers say Dahl is also Pakistan’s deputy prime minister, who introduced the tensions between Pakistan and India over terrorist attacks to Wang and said Islamabad has been insisting on combating terrorism and “opposing action could lead to escalation of the situation.”
