CM opens VT Bhattathiripad Cultural Complex in Palakkad

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s view on the VT Bhattathiripad cultural complex today (May 18). The VT Bhattathiripad Cultural Complex is located on five acres of land in Yakkara Village near Parakad Medical College and costs Rs 680 crore. The state-of-the-art facility spans approximately 100,000 square feet and features a modern AV theater equipped with state-of-the-art lighting, sound and projection systems, a black box theater, dedicated workshop space and a craft museum. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan unveiled on Sunday at the VT Bhattathiripad Cultural Complex in Yakara. In this speech, Vijayan praised Bhattathiripad’s contribution to the cultural landscape of Kerala.

He said that Bhattathiripad’s literary works, including drama, short stories and Sahitya Akademi Award, won the autobiography Kanneerum Kinavum, leaving an indelible mark in the state’s literary solidity.

Mr Vijayan said that the values ​​of freedom, democracy, secularism and socialism are crucial to the survival of art and literature.

“VT and other Renaissance leaders believe that literature and art are based on material conditions and that without a strong foundation, they cannot stand it.”

The complex of one hundred thousand square feet of five acres is built for Rs 6.8 crore, with modern facilities such as audiovisual theater, venue with advanced lighting, sound and projection systems, black box theater, sculpture studio and craft museum. It has a garden, a large parking area and a buffet restaurant.

Priyanka, Department Collector VT Bhattathiripad’s son Vt Vasudevan, OV Vijayan Memorial Secretary Tr Ajayan and Kunjan Nambiar Memorial Chairman K. Jayadevan is former Minister Ak Balan Sini K. Thomas, OV Vijayan Memorial Secretary.
