Cyberabad police recovered Rs 310 in one month

In the past 30 days, Seybrabad police recovered Rs 310, lost their phones worth about Rs 9.5 lakh and handed them over to their due owners. Recovery is part of the Department’s Phase 7 Mobile Tracking Phase, which was conducted using the Central Equipment Identification Register (CEIR) portal.
Led by DCP Crimes LC Naik, CCS, IT Cell and social media team tracked the device and handed it to the owners in a plan held on Sunday in the Cyberabad Commissioner’s Office.
DCP NAIK urges citizens to report immediately missing or stealing phones at the nearest police station or through CEIR portals operated across the country. Given that mobile phones often have personal details and financial information, he stressed the importance of protecting mobile data. He also advised residents to install CCTV cameras in the colonies and stay alert about cyber fraud.
Regionally, Madhapur CCS recovered the highest number of devices at the age of 80, followed by Balanagar -65, Medchal -55, Rajendranagar -55 -55 and Shamshabad -55.
Several recipients praised the police for taking action quickly. A delivery executive said he lost hope after mis-ordering, but was surprised when the police followed. Another woman shared that her phone was not restored once, but twice in a separate incident, both of which were attributed to Sebrabad police.
