Dhinakaran expressed concern about the decline in campus placement of Anna University students

Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) Secretary General TTV Dhinakaran expressed concerns on Monday (April 7, 2025) about the reports of only 38% of Anna University students who chose only 38% of Anna University students in the campus placement interview.

In an article on social media, Mr Dhinakaran recalled that in 2021-22, the proportion of students selected through job placement through campus placement was 68%. He said the fall raised questions about Anna University’s college education standards, adding that parents and students were concerned that many of the leading companies in the information technology field (IT) had fewer students.

He said universities and state governments should pay more attention to improving students’ educational standards and attract more companies to participate in campus placement.

In another statement, Mr. Dhinakaran welcomed Ma Baby the Secretary-General of CPI (M).
