Called Safecloak, the facility is a self-contained digital luggage storage solution that allows passengers to store their bags safely for the desired duration.
Smart digital lockers can only be accessed through OTP-based mobile phone number verification and are constantly monitored through CCTV, ensuring maximum security and accountability. The facility will be available at an affordable passenger price. The rate for a medium box starts at Rs 60 for 6 hours, and the XL box costs up to 24 hours and can store up to 10 bags that can be used by family and group travelers.
The advanced digital locker system is designed to provide travelers with a safe, worry-free and technically supported way to store luggage while moving. The Ministry of Railways is redefining how modern train stations meet the needs of tourists and business travelers. According to railway authorities, smart digital lockers and exchange waiting halls are the ideal solution for day tourists and business travelers who arrive and leave on the same day, allowing them to look down on and focus on their work without the burden of luggage.
Key features of the facility include the easy-to-use digital interface of the locker kiosk, mobile verification of secure access via OTP, multiple locker sizes, full digital payment with instant locker access, 24×7 CCTV monitoring, and 24×7 customer support over the phone, among other things.
