In a disturbing incident that was all the rage on social media, a young couple was beaten by the man’s parents in Kanpur together for being arrested for having a meal together.
The shocking episode took place on Friday at the Ram Gopal intersection in Gugini area. The 21-year-old was identified as Rohit when his 19-year-old girlfriend was at a roadside stall, when his parents, Shiv Karan and Sushila, suddenly arrived.
According to police, parents were angry when they saw their son and girlfriend’s relationship and they reportedly disapproved of their relationship. Witnesses said the confrontation changed rapidly and parents were attacking Rohit and the girl in full swing.
