Hyderabad: In a merged operation, the Southern Regional Task Force, Chandrayangutta Police and Civilian Materials intercepted a mini-Leary and seized 103 two-km pds rice worth Rs 4 lakh.
Police also arrested the driver Mohd Yousuf, an Indiranagar resident in Borabanda. Another defendant, Viquar and Aleem, are the whole. According to Rao, Yusuf told police that PDS rice was collected from Viquar and Aleem and transported to Maharashtra.
He said the two collected rice from ration card holders at low rates. The arrests were conducted by a team led by South District Task Force Inspector S. Raghavendra.
