Despite the Indian-Pakistan ceasefire, drone attacks in Srinagar and shelling of Jamu are reported. India- Pakistan’s ceasefire has been announced for hours, the two sides decided to stop various hostilities on land, air and sea, with reports of drone attacks and artillery bombardment. In addition to shelling along international borders and Line of Control (LOC) at multiple locations, there are reports of drone attacks in Srinagar. Sources said the Border Security Force (BSF) has been directed to respond to any ceasefire.
Pakistan chooses to upgrade
Pakistan reportedly chose to escalate again shortly after Foreign Minister Vikram Misri announced a ceasefire agreement. The ceasefire takes effect at 17.00 or 5 p.m. after the truce negotiations begin in Islamabad.
